Billing

Family Health on Highway is a full fee clinic. Payment in full is required on the day of your consultation – we have cash and EFTPOS services available. 

Medicare Patients

All patients (including health-care/pension card holders and children) will be charged a full fee for their first appointment at the practice.

After the initial consult, patients 15 and under will be bulk billed.

Please note failure to keep appointments may incur a fee of $70.

Medicare rebates are reimbursed to you in 1 of 3 ways:

  1. A physical debit card – with a savings account attached.
  2. The nominated bank account that is linked to your Medicare.
  3. A different bank account – BSB and Account Details must be provided.

Fees for pensioners and health care card holders:

Please be advised that appointments cancelled less than 2 hours before the scheduled time, as well as no-shows will incur a non-rebatable fee at our medical centre.

Private Consults (No Medicare)

Private patients and those without Medicare will pay the same rates, in full. The reception staff will then provide you with the EFTPOS receipt and a tax invoice which can be supplied to your own respective Private Health Fund (if applicable).

Please note we do not take Private Health Funds at our practice – all claiming must be done by the patient.

The practice reserves the right to change its billing procedure at any time.
