Skin Needling

Skin needling uses micro needles to create micro punctures in your skin. The body responds to this by trying to repair these punctures which results in stimulating collagen and elastin growth. This has a rejuvenating effect that make your skin glow and look younger. Skin needling helps with reducing acne, scarring, enlarged pores, stretch marks, blackheads, fine lines, hyper pigmentation and more. This non-invasive technique will tighten your skin, return plumpness and make your face smoother and fresher.

Immediate Post-Procedure (Days 1-2):

  • Anticipate redness and slight swelling in treated areas.
  • Skin may feel warm, resembling mild sunburn.
  • Employ a cooling face mask to reduce inflammation and redness, ensuring comfort.
  • Avoid sun exposure to prevent adverse effects & apply sunscreen for protection
  • Avoid applying makeup for at least 24-48 hours to allow the skin barrier to heal.
  • Consider using a hyaluronic serum to protect the skin
  • Stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water, which aids in faster healing and skin rejuvenation.

Days 3-5:

  • Your skin may become dry and flaky; this is normal as dead skin cells are stimulated upwards.
  • Resist the urge to pick at the skin; instead, apply moisturizer 2-3 times daily.
  • Steer clear of activities that induce sweating for at least 72hrs, as it can create unwanted heat and potential bacterial penetration.
  • Do not use skincare products containing ‘active ingredients’ like retinol, alpha hydroxyl acids, or Vitamin C during this time.

Ongoing Aftercare:

  • Continue to avoid sun exposure for several weeks.
  • Consider using collagen-stimulating peptides to enhance the results.
  • Continue to stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water, which aids in faster healing and skin rejuvenation.
  • Once the skin has healed, incorporate broad-spectrum sunscreen into your routine to prevent pigmentation and sun damage.
