Medicare doesn’t cover medicals requested by a third party, so these are private-fee appointments. The fee depends on the length and complexity of the assessment; reception can quote you when you book. Some employers and insurers pay directly — check your paperwork.
Bring every form you’ve been given, photo ID, your glasses if you wear them, and a list of current medications. Incomplete paperwork is the most common reason a medical has to be rebooked, and it’s entirely avoidable.

How long does a medical take?
Most take 30 to 45 minutes depending on the form’s requirements. Complex insurance medicals with ECGs or extensive questionnaires may take longer — reception will book the right length when you call.
Can any doctor complete my form?
Usually, yes — unless the form specifies an approved examiner. Read your paperwork, and if you’re unsure, email it to us before booking so we can confirm.
When will my report be sent?
In most cases within a few business days of the appointment, provided all forms were supplied and no additional tests are needed.
