Palliative Care
When illness can’t be cured, care matters more, not less. We focus on comfort, dignity and support — for you and the people around you.
- Preventive Care
Comfort, dignity and one familiar doctor throughout
Palliative care is about living as well as possible with a serious illness — managing pain, breathlessness, nausea, fatigue and anxiety so that symptoms don’t dominate your days. It can run alongside active treatment; it isn’t only for the final weeks of life.
Your GP’s role is continuity. We manage symptoms and medications, coordinate with your specialists and community palliative care services, help with advance care directives so your wishes are documented and respected, and support the practical decisions families face along the way.
We also look after the people doing the caring. Carers need their own check-ins, honest conversations and, attimes, their own treatment. Whatever stage you’re at, you don’t have to organise this alone — book a longer appointment and we’ll work through it together.

- Common Questions
Frequently asked questions
Is palliative care only for the end of life?
No. Palliative care can begin at diagnosis of a serious illness and run alongside active treatment. Early involvement is linked with better symptom control and quality of life.
Can my GP manage palliative care at home?
Your GP manages symptoms, medications and coordination in partnership with community palliative care services, who provide specialised nursing and equipment for care at home. Ask us about a referral.
What is an advance care directive?
A legal document recording your wishes for future medical care, made while you can clearly express them. Your GP can help you complete South Australia’s advance care directive form.
Is support available for carers?
Yes. Carers can and should book their own appointments — for their health, for practical guidance, and for support through what is often an exhausting role.

I have been a patient at this medical practice since it opened in 2023. The receptionists are wonderful in providing my wife and myself with medical and specialists appointments and the doctors and nurses have been very supportive to both of us. A big thank you to all.Posted on Google![]()
