Translation Service
Healthcare works best in the language you think in. We arrange free, professional interpreters for any appointment — just ask when you book.
- Preventive Care
Nothing lost in translation — especially not your health
Medical appointments involve detail that matters: symptoms, doses, side effects, consent. If English isn’t your preferred language, a professional interpreter means nothing important is missed — by you or by your doctor.
We use the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National), which is free for Medicare-eligible patients seeing a GP. Interpreters are available in more than 150 languages, by phone during your consultation or, with notice, in person. The interpreter is professional and bound by confidentiality — what’s said in the room stays in the room.
Tell reception your preferred language when you book, and allow a slightly longer appointment. Family members are welcome to support you, but for clinical accuracy we recommend a professional interpreter rather than asking family — especially children — to translate medical information.

- Common Questions
Frequently asked questions
Is the interpreter service really free?
Yes. TIS National interpreting is free for Medicare-eligible patients attending GP appointments. There is no charge to you and no charge added to your consultation.
Can my family member interpret instead?
They’re welcome to support you, but we recommend a professional interpreter for clinical accuracy and privacy. Medical terms are hard to translate, and family members shouldn’t carry that responsibility.
Is the interpreter confidential?
Yes. TIS National interpreters are professionals bound by a code of ethics and confidentiality. Nothing from your consultation is shared.
What if my language is uncommon?
TIS National covers more than 150 languages. Give reception as much notice as possible and we’ll confirm availability for your appointment.

I have been a patient at this medical practice since it opened in 2023. The receptionists are wonderful in providing my wife and myself with medical and specialists appointments and the doctors and nurses have been very supportive to both of us. A big thank you to all.Posted on Google![]()
